Building trusted partnerships across borders has been central to Ahmed Habib’s success as sales manager, EMEA at AVI-SPL, where he leads large-scale AV integration projects for clients in the Middle East’s government, corporate and education sectors.
A recent highlight was his work on the new Heriot-Watt University campus in Dubai. When the client’s initial plans fell short of their long-term ambitions, Habib proposed a more advanced system, supported by detailed mock-ups and clear cost–benefit analysis. His approach won buy-in for a higher-grade installation that went on to set a new benchmark, later adopted across other university campuses worldwide.
Within AVI-SPL, he also introduced a more structured method for tracking project timelines, improving efficiency and communication across teams, a contribution recognised with the company’s Circle of Excellence award.
Earlier in his career, Habib held positions at LG Electronics and Visionaire, gaining broad regional and technical experience that continues to shape his approach. He also played a key role in Expo 2020 Dubai, helping deliver $28 million worth of AV projects amid the challenges of the pandemic.
Habib believes the AV industry’s future depends on sustainability, modular design, and closer collaboration between technology providers and environmental organisations to drive real change.
