George Turner

At just 23, George Turner is already helping shape the next generation of immersive storytelling in AV. As senior AV and content technician at Frameless, they served as lead in-house audio and video programmer for the National Portrait Gallery collaboration Stories: Brought To Life, a 50-minute experience using Pixera, immersive audio, and motion design to animate portraiture across multiple projection surfaces. Turner programmed more than 20 projection outputs and 100 content layers, working closely with sound designers, animators, and the BAFTA-winning Cinesite team to translate cinematic ideas into responsive, real-time environments. The project received national press coverage, including from the BBC, and helped reinforce Frameless’s growing reputation in cultural immersive storytelling.

Originally entering AV through music and performance rather than traditional integration, Turner brings a creative sensibility that bridges art and technology. Their early project Finsperry 2020, a virtual festival raising funds for the NHS, demonstrated a mix of innovation, purpose, and technical mastery. A member of AVIXA and working toward CTS certification, Turner also completed an MA exploring how live visuals can enhance electronic music performance, further deepening their understanding of how technology can amplify creative expression and audience connection.
