Graeme Bagley

Few people have done more to raise the profile of higher education AV in the UK than Graeme Bagley. As associate director of Schoms - and incoming executive director - he has driven initiatives that strengthen community, expand opportunity, and put education end users at the heart of industry events.

Over the past year, Bagley has overhauled the Schoms Partnership scheme, boosting both applications and revenue, and led the largest Schoms Conference to date, a milestone 2025 event in Belfast that attracted more than 180 delegates and delivered meaningful regional representation. He also reimagined the hosted buyer scheme for ISE, enabling dozens of universities to attend and connect through dedicated networking and bursary programmes.

At Nottingham Trent University, Bagley leads AV strategy and design for major new facilities, including a nine-storey Digital Arts building and a new Postgraduate Centre. His focus on sustainability, accessibility, and smart technology is helping to shape a forward-looking digital learning environment.

Having started his career as a term-time AV assistant, Bagley’s journey is one of persistence and purpose. He’s passionate about breaking down barriers - both social and professional - and about showing young people that AV can be a fulfilling, creative, and respected career path.
