Midwich (Holdan)
TITLE
Chief Technical Officer
A deep appreciation for both technology and creativity has guided Kristian Hampton-Joyce throughout his career and now shapes his leadership as chief technical officer at Holdan, part of the Midwich Group.
In recent years, he has steered Holdan through a period of reinvention, expanding its focus beyond cine and broadcast into the wider AV market and emerging creator economy. Hampton-Joyce led the restructuring of the division, refining its portfolio and aligning teams to deliver end-to-end solutions for a broader customer base. The result has been a strong return to growth and renewed relevance in a fast-shifting landscape.
His promotion to CTO earlier this year marked the culmination of nearly six years with the business, during which he helped drive both the pre- and post-sales technical strategies and contributed to the company’s marketing initiatives as part of the senior leadership team.
A passionate advocate for representation and inclusion, Hampton-Joyce uses his platform to call for greater visibility of ethnic minorities and women in technical roles, arguing that mentorship and opportunity are essential if the industry is to reach its full potential.
Outside work, his drive for challenge continues - from completing the London and Paris marathons to engaging in humanitarian work in Beirut - experiences that reflect a commitment to integrity and growth.
