Nick Atkins

Few people can say they’ve helped rebuild a company from the inside out, but Nick Atkins has done just that. As head of integration at d&b solutions, he has played a central role in guiding the business through a major transition, shaping a new integration division from the legacy of White Light and SFL.

Tasked with building the integration department from the ground up, Atkins combined strategic vision with operational precision. He consolidated six departments into a single, unified team and launched key facilities that now underpin the company’s success: from a pre-build site improving efficiency and sustainability, to the groundbreaking Immersive Technology Experience Centre at London’s Science Museum. The latter has already become a creative testbed for collaboration across art, architecture and technology.

Under his leadership, d&b solutions has delivered major projects for iconic venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Natural History Museum and Royal Festival Hall, as well as high-profile broadcast studios and immersive installations worldwide.

Atkins is equally passionate about the industry’s future, launching a graduate scheme to bring new talent into AV. And outside work? His adventurous streak once took him across India in a rickshaw, raising £40,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust, proof that determination and teamwork are very much his driving forces.
