Omar Capellini

For Omar Capellini, precision and process are as important as creativity. As technical manager for AV and building automation at Inside, he has helped strengthen the company’s AV division, making it a department known internally for innovation, reliability, and strong technical delivery.

Over the past year, Capellini has led complex, large-scale projects that demanded tight coordination and fast turnarounds. By introducing standardised workflows and agile methodologies, he’s reduced configuration and installation times while improving quality, a shift that has directly increased both productivity and profitability. His structured approach has enhanced efficiency across teams and ensured consistently high standards in project delivery.

Before joining Inside, Capellini worked as a freelance sound engineer and later as a product specialist with Ligra DS, experience that gave him an instinctive feel for the connection between performance and usability.

He advocates a more IT-aligned and sustainable AV sector, calling for interoperable standards, energy efficiency, and attention to packaging and logistics to lower environmental impact. On talent development, he identifies a challenge within Italy: the need for a stronger culture of, and wider access to, specialist AV training. While he praises initiatives from AVIXA and SIEC, he notes that more must be done to engage younger generations.
